Sometimes the only way to understand your treatment is to ask questions. If it’s not clear right away you should keep asking the questions until the answers make sense.
Write down questions. A list of questions can serve as a reminder for what to discuss with your doctor. Jotting down the answers is helpful because they can be referred to later.
Highlight questions that are of concern. If a doctor’s visit is brief, these questions should be asked first.
Keep a notepad nearby. Keep it in the car, next to the bed, on your desk or wherever is most convenient. It will come in handy when questions come to mind.
